UQ eSpace: manage your research outputs and datasets

Everything you need to know about using UQ eSpace to keep your research output and research data profile up to date

Search and add missing works

On this page you can:​

  • Search for and claim existing works in UQ eSpace or works harvested from external sources - CrossRef, PubMed, Web of Science or Scopus
  • Manually add new works

1.  Enter a DOI, PubMed ID or the title of the work and click SEARCH to trigger a UQ eSpace and external source search for a match.

 

 


2.  If your work is listed then click on the CLAIM THIS WORK button. 

 

 

3.  To link the publication to your profile in UQ eSpace:

 

  • Select your name from the list of authors
  • You can suggest a correction, assign a content indicator and/or upload a file at the same time
  • Click on the CLAIM THIS WORK button to make the claim


 

4.  If your work is not in the results list then click on the CREATE A NEW ESPACE RECORD button to manually enter your work details.

Add a missing Book Chapter sample

From the Add a missing work to UQ eSpace page, follow the prompts to:

  1. Select your work type and sub-type

 

  1. Complete all of the required fields on the deposit form (marked with an asterisk ) and add notes if required or a link to the work if available.  Notes can be nominated for public view (will be moved to the Additional Notes field on the view page of the record) or identified as not for public view, e.g. information about an embargo or sensitive material in the content.  Please identify whether notes are to be public or not when submitting your record.  

 

  1. Enter author names and click on your name (should trigger a blue banner around your name) to link the work to your UQ eSpace profile

 

  1. You can add other detail as available

 

  1. You can upload up to 10 files, with a maximum size of 5GB each.  You need to select either open (for public access) or closed (restricted to UQ eSpace administrator staff) options. Acceptable file types are listed here


 

  1. Click on the SUBMIT FOR APPROVAL button to submit your work.  The eSpace team will review your submission, add other details available and set embargoes on open access files if required.  You can also set embargoes if you wish, prior to submission of the work.
