HDR supervisors can support their students in a number of ways:
- Encourage HDRs to store their thesis research data on UQRDM and avoid high risk options such as external hard drives or laptops.
- Communicate how you expect UQRDM to be used, and how files will be shared and accessed.
- Let them know what storage allocation types are required, and what data will be stored in each allocation (if more than one).
- Promptly approve and action any project records or other activities in UQRDM, to avoid issues with thesis submission later on.
- Do not create UQRDM project record for your students, your student needs to create the project record using their student account.
- Actively manage the thesis dashboard for your HDR, assigning examiners and Chairs and providing feedback
