UQ Research Data Manager

Provides information about how to use the UQ Research Data Manager (UQRDM) to store and manage research data for research projects.

Using UQRDM cloud

The UQRDM cloud web interface can be accessed by approved UQ and external collaborators, linked to a UQRDM project.

To access the web interface, enter this address: https://cloud.rdm.uq.edu.au/ using any of the following web browsers:

- Mozilla Firefox (14+)

- Google Chrome/Chromium (18+)

- Safari (7+)

- Microsoft Edge

External collaborators should login using the same authentication method that you joined the project with, either your institutional credentials or LinkedIn loginNote: There may be up to a 2 hour delay for external collaborators to access their allocation folder via the cloud. If your external collaborators experience a delay longer than this, please contact ITS Support.

When logging in for the first time you will see a pop up prompting you to download the sync client application. To get rid of this message - press the "escape" button or click outside the pop up.

Once logged in, your allocation (project) folders will be available and labelled in the format of a short code (6-10 character short code followed by a 5 character storage code, e.g. RDMUQ2017-A0001).

You can access your files within these allocation folders and use the web interface to upload, share, and delete files.

The UQRDM cloud web interface provides the option to share folders and files with people that are not listed as "collaborators" on the record. There is also the ability to control access permissions (e.g. read-only access) using this sharing functionality.

See more information on how to use this functionality on the sharing by email or link using UQRDM cloud page.

There is also a sync client that can be used in conjunction with UQRDM cloud. See more information about the UQRDM cloud sync client.
