The URL does not have a full stop after it unless in ends in a forward slash - / or more information follows it such as a DOI number.

Elements of the citation Author/organization's name. Title of the page [Internet]. Place of publication: Publisher's name; Publication date or year [updated date - year month day; cited date - year month day]. Available from: URL
 
  • If the place, publisher or date is unknown use [place unknown], [publisher unknown]. 
  • If neither the date of publication nor a date of copyright can be found - use the date of update/revision or date cited.
