Publish and update course reading lists

Learn how to access, edit and maintain your course readings list. Information on how to use lists with EndNote. Understand copyright requirements and compliance.

Check the course reading list link

The link to your course reading list should be automatically added to your Learn.UQ course under Learning Resources.

Each semester:

  • Ensure this link isn't accidentally deleted. 
  • Check it is linking to the correct course list, semester and year before each semester.

Add course reading list link

The link to the course reading list should be automatically added to the Learning Resources area of Learn.UQ (Blackboard).

Ensure the course reading list is published.

To add the link if it isn't visible or has been deleted:

  1. Go to the Learning Resources section.
  2. Click on Build Content and select Library Course Reading List LTI.

  1. Add Course reading list to name (or similar). Click Submit.
  2. The link will be added..
  3. Click the link to set up the correct list.  
  4. Search for the list. Choose the correct semester and year.

  1. Click Save.
  2. Move to link on page to required location if needed

Add link to section of reading list

A direct link to a specific section eg. Week 1, of a course reading list can also be added.

Ensure the course reading list is published.

To add a section link:

  1. Go to the Learning Resources section.

  2. Click on Build Content and select Library Course Reading List LTI.

  3. Add a name eg. Week one readings. Click Submit.

  4. Click on the link to go to the correct list and section.

  5. Search and select the required list.

  6. From the Sections box, choose the relevant section from the list. (Make sure sections have been set up in the list).

  1. Click Save.

  2. Move to link on page to required location if needed.

Add link to section within text​

Use this option to insert from text (item)​.

  1. Click on Build Content and choose Item.

  1. Add a name for the item.
  2. In the text editor box, select + symbol from the toolbar​.

  1. Choose Library Course Reading List LTI​. Give the link a name.
  2. Click Submit. ​
  3. Click on the link name (this will launch the LTI).​
  4. Search for your list and select it, and then the required section​. If it isn't going to the correct list, click on Relink at the top and search for it.
