Publish course reading lists

UQ teaching staff, learn how to access, edit and maintain your course readings list using Talis Aspire. Information on adding new items as Talis bookmarks.

How your reading list links with your course profile

Your reading list will automatically link to your course profile once it has been published. In the Learning resources section a link to your list will appear under Library resources.

Required - own copy needed items

If you have set any items with the Required - own copy needed importance, they will be listed on your course profile under Own copy required.

Important Some types of resources will not appear on course profiles. These include:

  • Articles 
  • Chapters 
  • Images 
  • Journals 
  • Legal case documents 
  • Proceedings 
  • Thesis. 

Resources set with other importances such as Recommended or Required will also not appear on course profiles. Visit the Edit your list section of the guide for more information on reading importances.

Once your list is published, all resources regardless of type or importance will be accessible on your Talis Aspire reading list which is automatically linked in your course profile.

If your list isn't published, a generic link to the Library homepage will appear in your course profile in the Learning resources section.
