Contrast

Check the contrast of the colours you use. Regular text must have a contrast ratio of 4.5:1 (WCAG Level AAA). Ensuring good contrast between foreground and background colours is important for users who have low vision or colour blindness.

Make use of the UQ brand colour palette, available in the UQ Brand Guidelines (download from the UQ Digital Asset Manager (DAM).

There are tools that can be downloaded to check whether the content needs improvements in regard to the colour contrast. The Library computers have a contrast checking tool through ZENworks. An alternative is the Colour Contrast Analyser from Vision Australia.
