Usually, citations to papers presented at a conference are limited to the text. As such the below example for a bibliography entry is adapted from broad principles in Chicago.
A paper included in the published proceedings of a meeting may be treated like a book chapter. If published in a journal, it is treated as an article.
Details of the sponsorship, location, and date of the meeting at which a speech was given or a paper, slides, or poster presented follow the title. In previous editions of Chicago this information was put in parentheses. This is no longer the case. If the information is available online, include a URL. (14.115).

EndNote reference type |
Due to conference paper citations usually being limited to the text, there is no reference type in the Chicago 18th ed notes-bibliography referencing style in EndNote instead. It will default to being displayed in the generic reference type. The generic reference type will need to be edited to correctly reflect Chicago 18th. |
