- A+ educationIndexing and full text database that provides Internet access to the scanned images of journal articles from published material on all aspects of education. Good for Australian information.
- LearnTechLib : the Learning and Technology LibraryOnline resource of peer-reviewed and published international journal articles and proceedings papers on the latest research, developments, and applications related to all aspects of education technology and e-learning.
- Teacher Reference CentreProvides coverage on key education topics such as Assessment, Continuing Education, Current Pedagogical Research, Curriculum Development, Instructional Media, Language Arts, Literacy Standards, Science & Mathematics, and more for K-12 Teachers & Librarians.
Free internet databases
- Database of Research on International EducationA free, searchable database of research on international education, managed by the Australian Council for Educational Research (ACER), containing details of more than 13,800 books, articles, conference papers and reports on various aspects of international education from publishers in Australia and abroad. Coverage: 1990 onwards.
- EdResearch OnlineFrom ACER, this is a database of Australian education journal articles. Not all content is full text.
- Higher Education Equity Literature DatabaseDeveloped by the Gonski Institute for Education’s Open Access Annotated Bibliography (OAAB) series, this freely searchable database offers curated bibliographies around themes relating to equity in higher education.
- NCSEHE Research DatabaseA searchable repository of research conducted by the National Centre for Student Equity in Higher Education (NCSEHE).
Multidisciplinary databases relevant to higher education
- JSTORArchival converted back issues of paper journals into electronic format in core fields. Subject collections include: Arts and Sciences; Biological Sciences; Business; Ecology and Botany; General Science; Language and Literature; Mathematics and Statistics; and, Music.
- PsycInfoProvides access to international literature in psychology and related disciplines. The database includes literature from an array of disciplines related to psychology such as psychiatry, education, business, medicine, nursing, pharmacology, law, linguistics, and social work.
- ScopusA multidisciplinary abstract and citation database of peer reviewed literature, book reviews and conference proceedings.
- Web of ScienceA collection of citation databases and citation analysis tools covering the sciences, social sciences, arts and humanities.
