These registries list protocols of clinical trials. They can be searched to identify trials:

at various stages from registration of protocol to completion
which might not necessarily ever be published or indexed in databases

Australia:

Australian Clinical Trials
An alternative platform to find trials from the ANZCTR
Australian New Zealand Clinical Trials Registry
ANZCTR includes trials from pharmaceuticals, surgical procedures, preventive measures, lifestyle, devices, treatment and rehabilitation strategies and complementary therapies. It was established at the NHMRC Clinical Trials Centre.

EU (European) Clinical Trials Register
Interventional clinical trials that are conducted in the European Union (EU) and the European Economic Area (EEA)
ICTRP Search Portal
WHO clinical trial search portal. Note that the ICTRP includes records from ANZCTR, clinicaltrials.gov, ISRCTN and the EU Clinical Trials Register, as well as other registries
ISRCTN registry
This is a repository for all clinical research studies, whether proposed, ongoing or completed
Trials Register of Promoting Health Interventions (TRoPHI)
Coverage of trials of interventions in health promotion and public health worldwide

There are also trial registries specifically intended for particular conditions or fields such as cancer, Alzheimer's etc. If you are a researcher in a specific field you could search the web to see what is available.
