Databases for art history

While you can find journal articles through Library Search, it is best to also search databases as these provide you with subject-specific information on your topic. Databases may also contain reviews, and criticism.

Oxford art online
Oxford Art Online comprises the full text of Grove Art Online, The Oxford Companion to Western Art, The Encyclopedia of Aesthetics, and The Concise Oxford Dictionary of Art Terms.
ARTbibliographies modern (ABM)
ART bibliographies modern (ABM) provides full abstracts of journal articles, books, essays, exhibition catalogues, PhD dissertations, and exhibition reviews on all forms of modern and contemporary art.
JSTOR
The JSTOR archive of digitised full text journals, covering arts and sciences but does not include current issues.
Informit literature and culture collection
Offers a full text collection of every issue of Australia's best known literary and cultural magazines.
Art index retrospective
Provides information from international art publications.
Research library
Via ProQuest - includes journals, magazines and newspapers on a broad range of general reference subjects including arts, business, humanities, social sciences, and the sciences.
