Finding sound recordings
To find sound recordings go to Library Search.
A keyword search allows you to combine the country / region, and the music genre. Narrow the scope of the search to retrieve only music recordings in the Architecture & Music Library displayed results.
Search tips for music recordings:
- Include country / region (e.g.: Canada, Nova Scotia)
- Include the genre (e.g.: folk songs).
An advanced keyword search allows you to combine the surname of the composer, the instrumentation and the genre. Narrow the scope of the search to retrieve only music recordings in the displayed results.
Search tips for music recordings:
- Include composer's surname
- Include the instrument (piano, violoncello, violin)
- Use the plural of the music genre (sonatas, suites, concertos).
- Use unique numbers. Enter the numbers only. If the score is Opus 101, only enter 101.
Finding music and theatre
Browse databases for music and theatre:
- Naxos music libraryCollection of digital music. Comprised of the complete Naxos, Marco Polo and Da Capo catalogues, including classical music, historical and nostalgic recordings, jazz, world, folk and Chinese music. Includes notes on the works being played as well as biographical information on composers or artists
- Theatre in videoContains a collection of important plays, together with video documentaries, online in streaming video.

Try searching by title, composer, musician, director/producer/writer or cast.
