Referencing is acknowledging other's work or ideas that you have used in your assignment. There are many different referencing styles. Check your subject outline or ask your lecturer which one you need to use.
The Library has created guides, with examples of different formats and reference lists for the different referencing styles used at UQ.
Use EndNote to save and manage references and create correctly formatted bibliographies.
Viewing EndNote video - Getting Started (YouTube, 47m22s) prior to using the software is highly advised.
Other software for managing references is also available e.g. Mendeley and Zotero.
