Topics in SciVal can showcase your contribution to a specific research topic.

Determining your contribution

  1. Access SciVal and create a login (if you don't have one already).
  2. Follow steps 1-4 in Author performance metrics in SciVal.
  3. Go to the Topics tab on your profile.

Do you have a noteworthy contribution?

Look at the Scholarly Output and Field-Weighted Citation Impact (FWCI) values - not the Prominence Percentile (this is about the topic, not you!)

  1. Hover over a Topic and click Analyze activity of Researcher.
  2. Scroll down to Explore activity of your Institution within current Topic in detail.
  3. Export this page to see what your contribution is to the topic in comparison to the Worldwide output and Field-Weighted Citation Impact on the topic.

Explore the topic

Click the Authors tab in the side menu to see what is your ranking as an author in the topic - use the dropdown to refine to see the author ranking worldwide, in Asia Pacific, and in Australia.
