Digital learning objects (DLO) are resources that explain key concepts in engaging ways and can be used in your courses to help build your students’ research and digital skills.

UQ teaching staff (and students) can log in to the Digital Learning Hub to access additional features.
You can select to be notified when an object you are using is updated. We will email you when we make significant changes to the object, such as a new URL. You can feel confident that objects you use in your course are always up to date.
Use the link in the Digital Learning Hub to request to submit your digital learning object. This will allow others to easily find and use your object. Read more about submitting a request.
You can choose to embed the H5P object in your course or simply share the direct object link.

You can choose to embed or link the Pressbook in your course. The modules are also available for your students to download in EPUB, PDF and HTML format to help with accessibility.
Note: You can click the More options dots to go back to edit the entry after you have saved it.
You can create a weblink or course link in the weekly folders in Learning Resources e.g. If you want your students to read the chapters in particular weeks.
In your course site, the module will appear in a new content area in your course. Each module chapter will be a section. You can copy, move and delete the chapters in your course.
You can submit a request to add your digital learning object to the Digital Learning Hub. A link to submit is available via the hub.

Note: Objects that are not reviewed within a 12-month period will be unpublished from the Hub until they are updated. The Digital Learning Hub is a portal for current content, rather than a repository. It is not used to store files or for version control.
Instructions for submitting or editing your objectYou will need to complete all the required fields to be able to save and submit the form.
Set to your UQ username.
Enter the date that you last reviewed the object.
You will receive an email 12 months after the Last Review Date to remind you to review your object.
At least 100 characters. The description is displayed after the user clicks on the object in the result list.
Select if the object includes Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander content that requires cultural advice.
Add the URL of your object.
Provide instructions for teaching staff to add or reuse the object in their course.
These are defined on ITaLI's Graduate Attribute page. Check if the object content matches the description of the Graduate Attribute when assigning the filter.
Refer to Creative Commons Licence information for each licence type. If you are unsure select Other.
These are a set of controlled keywords to help users find related content.
You can select to notify subscribers when a digital learning object is updated and significant changes are made. Users who chose to subscribe to the object will be sent an email with:
The emails will only be sent once a day (overnight). If you make a mistake after you click Save, you can edit your note in the object record again and it will overwrite the previous message.
Click Save when all fields are complete. The form will be submitted. We will contact you to follow up on your object submission or to let you know the object record has been published.
