Primary Source Databases

Primary sources are first hand evidence or records of the time. They may take the form of diaries, letters, interviews, speeches, photographs, posters, pamphlets and official records. The library has a number of primary source databases useful for research in Political Science which include:

Capital Monitor
Capital Monitor is a searchable database and alerting service containing resources published by Parliament, Government and the Courts.
Gale: primary sources
Provides an interactive research environment that allows researchers to cross-search Eighteenth Century Collections Online (ECCO) and Nineteenth Century Collections Online (NCCO) and to discover and analyze content in new ways.
Making of the modern world
Provides digital facsimile images of works on economics and business published between 1450 and 1850. Includes material on commerce, finance, social conditions, politics, trade and transport.
