Why use statistics

Statistics and can be used in research to help you provide proof for your theoretical arguments, and strengthen your statements. For example, you could make a general statement that "America is a rich country while Bangladesh is a poor one", but it would be much better to show the United States' $15.68 trillion GDP compared to Bangladesh's $115.6 billion GDP to prove your point.
