The most effective way to find journal articles on a topic is to search a Library database. The key databases for history journals are:

L'Annee philologique
A bibliographic database of scholarly works relating to the ancient Greek and Roman civilizations.
JSTOR
The JSTOR archive of digitised full text journals does not include current issues.

Advanced research:

Gnomon Bibliographische Datenbank
Classical studies and archaeological scholarly literature published since 1980. Updated monthly.

Nestor
Bibliography of research into the ancient Aegean, Homeric society, and Indo-European linguistics.
TOCS-IN
Index to classics journals including a list of abbreviations.
Diotima
A listing of materials for women and gender issues in the ancient world.
Bulletin Analytique d'Histoire Romaine [BAHR]
A research database for the history and archaeology of the ancient Roman world.
