Text mining & text analysis

This guide contains resources for researchers about text mining and text analysis (sometimes known as distant reading).

External Organisations

Library staff

Your Liaison Librarians are your first port of call for research assistance. They are able to provide information and assistance with:

  • Sources of text data
  • Data management
  • Copyright questions
  • Finding information resources
  • Connecting you with other researchers
  • Technology Trainers

Technology trainers provide training and support in IT skills and digital literacy, and develop online training tools and content.

The technology trainers can be contacted by emailing training@library.uq.edu.au.

Regularly check the Training web page for software and research training sessions.

Hacky Hour UQ

Hacky Hour is an informal meetup in which all UQ research staff and students, regardless of field, can get help with their research-related IT issues from a team of IT experts, including Research Computing Centre staff.

Hacky Hour occurs most Tuesdays, 3pm–4pm at Cafe Nano, next to the AIBN building (building 75) on UQ's St Lucia Campus.
