UQ Harvard referencing style

The Harvard style is a generic author-date style for citing and referencing information used.

Elements of the citation - Newspaper and magazine

Author(s) of article – family name and initials Year of publication, ‘Title of article – in single quotation marks’, Title of Newspaper or Magazine– italicised, Day Month, Page number(s).

Note: Minimal capitalisation is recommended for the titles of articles; maximal capitalisation is conventionally used for journal titles. See examples below.

If the authorship is not obvious, provide all the details in the in-text citation.

If there is no volume and issue number, replace this information with the date - day and month / month / quarter or other similar identifier.
