Publish and update course reading lists

Learn how to access, edit and maintain your course readings list. Information on how to use lists with EndNote. Understand copyright requirements and compliance.

Online articles and ebooks

Many articles, ebooks and online videos are made available through licensed databases and journals. These cannot be:

  • downloaded and made available through Learn.UQ (Blackboard), LearnX or MOOCs
  • downloaded and sent to students by email.

This will also apply to open access or freely available resources.

Best practice is to link to any online resources.

Subscription and licensed resources need to be linked in the correct way to ensure your students can access them using their UQ credentials.

Online videos and DVDs

Due to copyright and licencing restrictions,

  • DVDs and other physical audio-visual resources held by the Library cannot be copied and made available online
  • YouTube or other online videos cannot be downloaded and uploaded to courses, Learn.UQ or LearnX.

Best practice is to link to online videos in your course reading list.

To link a YouTube video:

  1. Go to the YouTube video and click the Share option.
  2. Copy the link.
