- Australian Digital ObservatoryThe Australian Digital Observatory is working to establish a national infrastructure for accessing and analysing existing collections of national interest across Twitter, FlickR, YouTube, Reddit, Instagram and gaming platforms such as Steam.
It provides an interdisciplinary team of data science researchers and support staff at key locations around Australia who offer data-related services, training, and research support in data collection, storage, tidying, pre-processing, analytics, and visualisation. - Australian Text Analytics PlatformThe Australian Text Analytics Platform is an open source environment, currently in development, that provides researchers with tools and training for analysing, processing, and exploring text.
ATAP will be a collaborative, cloud-based workbench environment, bringing together users and providers of data and text analytics tools.
Support provided by the platform will include hands-on workshops, online training modules and online office hours, as well as advice and collaboration in selected partnerships. - Office Hours - ARDC supportAustralian researchers working with linguistics, text analytics, digital and computational methods, social media and web archives, and much more are invited to attend regular online office hours, jointly hosted by four Australian Research Data Commons funded projects.
Bring your technical questions, research problems and rough ideas and get advice and feedback from the combined expertise of several ARDC research infrastructure projects.
These sessions run over Zoom from 2-3pm (Australia/Sydney time) every second Tuesday. - OpenMinTed - Open Mining Infrastructure for Text & DataOpenMinTed sets out to create an open, service-oriented e-Infrastructure for Text and Data Mining (TDM) of scientific and scholarly content. Researchers can collaboratively create, discover, share and re-use Knowledge from a wide range of text-based scientific related sources in a seamless way.

Hacky Hour UQ

Hacky Hour is an informal meetup in which all UQ research staff and students, regardless of field, can get help with their research-related IT issues from a team of IT experts, including Research Computing Centre staff.
Hacky Hour occurs most Tuesdays, 3pm–4pm at Cafe Nano, next to the AIBN building (building 75) on UQ's St Lucia Campus.
